Great food, people and atmosphere!

Great breakfast stop! We stopped here when leaving the copake campgrounds, and we're so glad we did. Place is super cute, breakfast is amazing, and set-up very safe.

My husband and I were hungry, saw the billboard and decided to go off course on our road trip to this diner. We were in a hurry and hoped they would have quick but good service. That’s exactly what we received. They have typical food you would find at any diner, but it’s cooked well. Thank you Dads for starting our New Years Eve celebration out right!

Great food. Good price. Friendly staffMy sausage, egg, swiss on a hard roll was delicious. The chocolate chip pancakes as well, and the two egg omelette too. We'll be back.

Everything you would expect from a diner. Enjoy going here for eggs, pancakes and other breakfast items. Good service and not super expensive. My personal favorite is going in the summer for an ice cream treat. If you circle to the back of the diner they have an ice cream counter in the parking lot area. Love the soft serve with chocolate dip!

Always great food, you get more than enough food for what you pay for and the staff is always friendly and attentive. My husband and I are always going for breakfast on the weekends and it's worth the drive!

Fantastic prices....Breakfast is usually great. One time my breakfast was not up to their usual standards but they didn't charge me. We go here almost weekly.

Cute little retro-style diner with very friendly staff! This was the halfway point between my sister and I while I was on her side of the country so we met here for lunch with her two kids to visit and they were so accommodating- we kind of camped out for a while, taking pictures and catching up and they didn't mind. Yummy breakfast, we had the sausage gravy and biscuits and the kids had pancakes with fruit which they loved!They also set the kids up with extra drinks for the ride home when they heard we'd both have an hour drive back home, which was really sweet and appreciated! On top of all that, they let us hop on their WiFi to download directions since neither of our phones could pick up signal! So Nice!! If you're passing through, stop by!!

Delicious, awesome waitstaff. Best onion rings I've ever eaten, literally (and I love onion rings), fish and chips was perfect. Very good diner.

Being from out of town we kind of felt out of place with some of the places we went. However at Dad’s we felt right at home. The staff was super friendly and the food was tasty. We got breakfast and dinner here during our stay.

We love visiting here when we're in the area, my husband's family has been coming to Dad's for years. Today, I had probably the best sandwich I've ever had!The staff are friendly, the prices are good, and the food is amazing. You can't go wrong!

Simply amazing! The wait time for the food is not long at all and would be more than worth the wait if there was one. I have eaten here about 25 times and was never displeased with anything. The staff is either, friendly, funny, or both. The environment is fantastic in more ways than i can explain. Must eat here!

Dad's Diner is top notch....quaint, nostalgic, cozy and CLEAN. Always greeted with good service and good food. Surely one of our favorite good old fashioned diners !!!

Every time I go to Dad's Diner in Copake the food is excellent. I've never had a complaint. I plan on returning soon for my weekly ritual on Sunday nights called Wings Day!

We’re from NYC, and we’re looking for a good place to have dinner, and decided to try Dad’s. OHHHHH MAAAAAN did we make a GREAT decision! The burger I had just about knocked my socks off, and my wife’s meal was excellent as well! And the service is just lovely. I highly recommend this place!

I travel 2 1/2 hours once a month to visit this diner. You can’t imagine the quality you get for the price. This diner changed my life for the better and I wouldn’t be the man I was without it. God bless the kind staff.

Nice location, great breakfast and nice people.

I just had a bacon, Swiss burger , fries and a Pepsi. The 6 oz burger was cooked just right wasn’t greasy and taste good. The fries however was cooked a bit too long. But the excellent burger made up for the over cooked fries. Price was good too. I will definitely stop there again.

The food here is just plain delicious. Every single thing!!! The staff are friendly and sweet! The honey fried chicken (Honey Dipped Chicken) is crispy and juicy, every last bit of it just perfectly cooked. The wings are every bit as amazing as all the people who recommend them say they are!

Great place to stop on a ride north. Cozy 50s style diner with great food and friendly staff and people. Definitely will stop there again!

Sumptuous food at unbeatable prices. Desserts to DIE for! High-chairs available for young children. Bathroom and facilities clean. Ample parking in rear, as well as al fresco dining, with concession hatch for the service of ice cream. Very friendly waitress indoors. Free wi-fi, though it was not working during this review. Vestibule with local bulletins, newspapers and advertisements. Retro feel, complete with golden oldies (1960s) playing on loop.

Friendly diner with traditional diner food, good portions, and reasonable prices. Roast Turkey platter was delicious.

Great food great service. I always feel welcome here. Colleen and the rest of the staff are great. I don't even look at the menu I ask what she recommends and order it. Great ice cream too. My go to place for comfort food when I am in the area.

This is a really great diner with a 50's era vibe. Prices are reasonable. Really want to go there on a Thursday for their $10 dinner specials. The only issue was my home fries were not very hot on the breakfast meal I ordered. Other then that everything was good!!

When we walked in, they greeted us as if we were family. The food, atmosphere and wait staff was perfect. A great place to go for comfort food in a friendly place.

Great local diner. I was surprised when I walked in the first time to see a sparkling clean replica of an old fashioned diner with counter seats! Only had breakfast here so far, and it was good. I hear all the food is good. Easy parking in the rear.

A friend and I ate here this past weekend. I've been to many diners, Port Henry NY, Brewster NY, Waterbury CT, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Northampton, MA ; and this place is right up there. Good eats! Attentive service. Good atmosphere. If you're traveling through this part of the country, you should definitely stop here for breakfast or lunch!(Check out the "Front Porch" market across the street, too!)

Dad's Diner never disappoints me the foods always amazing the waitresses are always so friendly the prices are responsible it's just a overall great place to be.
